Drew University Launches Next-Generation Program to Connect with Admitted Students and Parents

New platform immerses newly admitted families in college life, connects them with current students, and lets them learn more about other students in the acceptance pool.

MORRISTOWN, NJ March 16, 2017 — Evolution Labs announced today that Drew University has launched a new engagement platform to change how admitted students experience the post-acceptance and pre-matriculation periods. DREWNIVERSE and DREWNIVERSE for Parents harness the Evolution Labs S360™ technology and content platform, designed to immerse accepted students in an engaging, one-to-one web and mobile-based experience.

Newly admitted students are now using DREWNIVERSE to dive deep into their program of study, follow current student “ambassadors” with similar interests, connect with other incoming students and explore out-of-classroom (and out-of-country) experiences.

“DREWNIVERSE brings ‘immersion learning’ to admitted students and their families, enabling users to dive deeply into key aspects of student life long before classes begin,” said Dr. Robert Massa, Senior Vice President for Enrollment & Institutional Planning at Drew University. “Drew offers its students a uniquely customizable education. By tailoring content to students’ interests, DREWNIVERSE promises to be an ideal entry point to the Drew experience.”

DREWNIVERSE will use a proprietary platform to help the university better understand the attitudinal trajectory of admitted students and their parents. The programming provides them with highly individualized content tailored to their interests, including articles, videos, and quick “pulse surveys.” The same platform will also let students interact with and “shadow” current students, view “real-life” social media feeds, and share their passion for Drew by connecting to their preferred social networks. The school will receive engagement insights from the platform in real time, arming staff to make better communication and enrollment decisions.
